Application, step by step

Wash and dry your hands
Start with clean, fully dry hands and nails. Any oil or lotion on the nail keeps glue from bonding.

Push back your cuticles
Use the cuticle stick from your NailStory kit to gently push cuticles back so the press-on sits on nail, not skin.

Buff the nail surface
Lightly buff each nail with the included file. A slightly matte surface grips glue much better than a glossy one.

Wipe with the prep pad
Swipe every nail with the alcohol prep pad and let it dry. This is the step most people skip — and the top reason press-ons pop off early.

Match every size first

Glue and press for 30 seconds
Apply a thin layer of glue to your nail, place the press-on just above the cuticle, tilt down, and press firmly for 30 seconds. Do one finger at a time.

Finish and let them set
Shape edges with the file if you like, then avoid soaking your hands in water for the next 1–2 hours while the glue fully cures.
How long do they last?
With glue over a well-prepped nail, expect up to 2 weeks of wear. The two things that cut that short: skipping the prep-pad step, and soaking your hands before the glue cures.
Removing them gently
Soak fingertips in warm, soapy water for 10–15 minutes, work a drop of cuticle or baby oil around the edges, and lift slowly from the sides with your cuticle stick. Never peel or force a nail off — and never soak them in acetone: it dissolves the hand-painted gel art. Removed with care, your set is ready to wear again.

Can I wash my hands or shower with press-on nails?
Yes — once the glue has cured (1–2 hours), normal handwashing and showers are fine. Long hot soaks and prying at the edges are what loosen them.
Are NailStory press-ons reusable?
Yes, with careful removal. Soak them off gently, clean any glue residue, and store them in their box for the next wear.
How do I remove press-on nails without damaging my nails?
